It was a hot and sunny September day when Rachel and Daniel got married. Undoubtedly, their family, friends, and guests were excited that they were getting married. It was evident how much they valued family, culture, and religion. Traveling from Washington to San Diego, California, was a dream for this boho Tivoli Italian Villa wedding!
Daniel and Rachel met over tempura and teriyaki at a church lunch for newcomers. By attending weekly bible studies and potluck dinners, they quickly got to know each other. Thereupon, they took a leap of faith one fall night and started talking under the stars. As they discussed their lives, they began dreaming about sharing a life together. They prayed for commitment for the next forty days. Finally, in November 2018, they became a couple.
Without a doubt, as soon as I walked into Tivoli Italian Villa, I knew it was going to be a magical day. This Southern California wedding venue stands atop rolling hills. Also, it is surrounded by old-growth orchids and mountain views. There are many different sections to this Italian-inspired venue. I found it appealing that it was an all-in-one wedding venue.
Rachel purchased her wedding gown from Bella Wedding Bridal, a local bridal shop in Los Angeles. Her gown had a long train with beautiful lace detail. She wore a gorgeous ivory t-strap wedding heel with hand-embroidered and beaded baguette crystals from Bella Belle Shoes. Once she was ready, we shifted into their first look. Of course, her beauty filled Daniel with awe as he turned around and saw her. Emotion came over both of them, and tears streamed down their faces. Obviously, marrying each other was a dream to them!
The beautiful views of the mountains were the backdrop for their ceremony. They stood in front of a wooden arch adorned with florals. They had a watercolor artist paint a live picture of the ceremony during their ceremony. Undeniably, this painting was terrific, and now they have a keepsake from their ceremony that they can cherish. Afterwards, they had a traditional Korean tea ceremony.
They had little excerpts displayed at each reception table, providing insight about the couple. These fun facts included things like their first trip together, stories about their childhood, and when they first held hands. Lastly, their reception was magical and so much fun. Rachel and Daniel enjoyed the night dancing with their friends and family.
Therefore, it was such a pleasure photographing Daniel and Rachel’s wedding. Above all, the two of them and their guests warmly welcomed me since I came from out of town. It was a glorious day celebrating their marriage!
