As a Tacoma Wedding Photographer, I absolutely love having engagement sessions at Point Defiance Park in Tacoma, WA. This park is insanely versatile and I feel it fits the needs and wants of every couple looking to have a wedding and an engagement session here. There’s SO many locations to choose from such as the Rose Garden near the main entrance, the Point Defiance Pagoda, Owens Beach, and the numerous stops along the 5 mile Drive. As the saying goes, “the possibilities are endless!”

Niza and Arvin wanted their location to fully embrace the beauty that the Pacific Northwest has to offer, after all they started dating right after they went hiking at Rattlesnake Ridge with family and friends.

I automatically thought Point Defiance Park in Tacoma, WA would be a great location for their engagement session.

It was definitely a beautiful time of year to get engagement pictures done. We were a little worried about the weather as the days prior to their session it was raining nonstop. Thankfully, God answered our prayers and gave us a beautifully brisk, sunny day and with the leaves around us turning that nice autumn orange and brown color. It was exactly what they wanted.

At the beginning of every session, I like to get my couples moving to help ease the nerves of being in front of the camera. Trust me, I know how it feels lol. We started off at one of the many walking trails that are at Point Defiance Park. Niza and Arvin were too cute for words from the beginning to the end of their session. They were always affectionately holding each other in some way with cute little kisses here and there. And let’s talk about that GORGEOUS ring that Arvin gave her! I mean, WOW. And I can’t forget to mention the beautiful makeup that was done by Cece at Makeup by Cece!

This whole Point Defiance Park engagement session was a dream. Niza and Arvin were amazing and fun to shoot with. I can totally tell that they were in love and sooo ready to take on this next step in their lives. At the end of the day, they wanted me to be there for their wedding day as well!
