Bo and Joe’s Edmonds Yacht Club Wedding was extravagant. With a slightly overcast day, the sun did peek throughout the day. I could see and feel the excitement that these two, their families, and friends were experiencing.
Joe and Bo were working in the same shopping complex, but at different stores. When Joe was passing by Bo’s work, he would wave at her. It took her a while to actually say hi to him. Bo then started a new job at her mother’s restaurant. They hadn’t seen each other since she had started this new job. Until one day, Joe spontaneously showed up at the restaurant for lunch. They started to talk to each other through Facebook. While talking, they found interests they share, like Wolverine. Evidently, Bo asked Joe out to watch the Wolverine movie as friends. That movie date led to marriage!
Edmonds Yacht Club is located in the heart of Puget Sound. This Edmonds, Washington wedding venue is ideal with its waterfront views.
Bo’s wedding gown was so special to her. Bo, her sister, and another bridesmaid traveled to Los Angeles, California to shop for her wedding gown. She found a gorgeous dress that has lace detailing. Alam, Bo’s sister, was generous and bought the gown for her as a wedding gift.
These two were very appreciative of their family, which was involved in the wedding planning. Bo’s sister took charge as the florist, decorator, and makeup and hair artist. One of Bo’s best friends baked and designed their wedding cake. Her mother’s restaurant took charge of catering dinner.
Before the wedding day, Bo had asked me if we could do a fun first look prank on Joe. Of course, I was game and was so excited! We put Joe in position for the first look. When he turned around, he was expecting to see Bo in her wedding gown. Instead, he saw his friend in a wedding gown. This moment was hilarious, there were many laughs! After this, we went into the real first look between Joe and Bo. As he turned around, to see his soon-to-be-wife, the smile on his face grew.
Their wedding reception was decorated beautifully. Light purple and dusty blues were mixed with neutral colors. Joe was married prior, but his wife passed away from cancer. This led him to be a single father of two children. His best man was his son and he gave a wonderful speech. Joe is a taekwondo trainer and during his son’s speech, he asked for everyone that has been part of their group to stand up. It was a touching moment to see all of the people Joe has helped. To end this speech, he mentioned how special Bo was in their lives and told her he loved her. Cue the tears.
This beautiful wedding day was filled with so much happiness and support from their family and friends. Everyone was welcoming to me and my second photographer. It was such a joy to celebrate Bo and Joe!
